Connect to Slack

1. Go to Admin → Integrations in Hoogly
2. Click Connect to Slack
3. Authorise the Hoogly app in your Slack workspace

Once connected, Hoogly can send reminders in Slack to complete Pulses.

Slack permissions overview

Hoogly connects with Slack through a secure, permission-based OAuth 2.0 flow provided by Slack.

When an organisation installs Hoogly in Slack using our authorization link, Slack requests the admin’s consent for a small, clearly defined set of permissions:

• chat:write – allows Hoogly to post messages in approved channels or direct messages (it cannot read existing messages or channels).
• users:read – lets Hoogly identify users’ Slack display names and IDs to personalize communication (it cannot access private user data or messages).
• team:read – allows Hoogly to retrieve the workspace’s basic metadata such as name and domain for organisational context. Hoogly does not read message history, does not access private channels, and does not store Slack credentials. All tokens are encrypted and managed securely within Google Cloud, and access can be revoked at any time from the Slack App Management page.

Connect to Microsoft Teams

1. Go to Admin → Integrations in Hoogly
2. Click Connect to Microsoft Teams
3. Follow the prompts to authorise the Hoogly app in your Microsoft 365 tenant

Once connected, Hoogly can send reminders in Teams to complete Pulses.
